Anergy: an energy revolution for a sustainable future
Luxembourg’s first anergy network: the creation of the CALLISTO S.A. joint venture
Luxembourg proudly welcomes its first anergy network through the creation of a joint venture between IKO Real Estate S.C.A., LuxEnergie S.A. and Encevo S.A. These Luxembourg-based companies, specialised respectively in real estate development, energy production and energy distribution, are joining forces to bring CALLISTO S.A. to life, the pioneering company behind the development of Luxembourg’s first anergy network.
Four years after the launch of the Rout Lëns project, IKO Real Estate set out to implement an innovative energy system aligned with the district’s carbon objectives. A call for projects was launched and, following in-depth studies, an energy concept based on anergy was selected. This unique energy exchange network, powered by more than 300 geothermal boreholes reaching a depth of 200 metres, provides heating and cooling for all homes while meeting seasonal needs.
The CALLISTO S.A. joint venture is the result of a balanced collaboration between LuxEnergie S.A. and Encevo S.A., two companies selected for their expertise in operating the anergy network, thereby ensuring high-quality implementation and operation at a controlled cost for future residents.
This partnership is part of a long-term development perspective, supported by a dynamic of continuous improvement and innovation. It embodies the environmental values of the companies involved and contributes to more sustainable real estate. The anergy network will play a significant role in reducing the carbon footprint of the Rout Lëns project, ensuring a sustainable and reliable energy supply for all residents.
