All the ingredients for a mixed neighbourhood

In the centre of Differdange, on the former Funicular plateau, Arboria is the first “major living district” developed by IKO.
It contains over 700 housing units, including Aurea (the first residential tower), local shops, the Opkorn shopping centre, a day nursery for up to 80 children, student accommodation, 1,000 m2 of offices, the Chiers park, and more.

Arboria has every ingredient for a mixed neighbourhood where people live, work, shop and play – all in a natural setting that is pleasant to live in.

Nature

The renaturation of the Chiers

While building the district, IKO also carried out renaturation work on the River Chiers and laid out its banks as a high-quality recreational park, welcoming nature back to the district and the city.

Renewal

Reconnecting residents to the heart of Differdange

Much more than a real estate project, Arboria contributes to renewing the city, welcoming new Differdange residents while strengthening the urban fabric between the Fousbann, Oberkorn and city centre districts, and reconnecting residents to the heart of Differdange.

Certification

Our approach drives us to constantly do better. Certifications are also tools for continuous improvement.

  • DGNB Gold

The entire neighbourhood is DGNB Gold certified. DGNB certification takes account of a building’s entire life cycle and its ecological, economic and socio-cultural aspects.
