Aware of the environmental footprint of the real estate and construction sector, IKO has chosen to act by committing to an ambitious CSR strategy. This is a voluntary and non-regulatory approach, which enables us to translate our values and our corporate vision into clear objectives and concrete, measurable actions over time.
IKO is thus the first Luxembourg developer to draw up a sustainable development report certified by GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), the most widely used reporting standard in the world.

“This quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry resonates with me and regularly guides my choices. I am the father of two daughters and it is important to me that they can be proud of what I have accomplished and of the trajectory of the family business.”
Eric Lux, Chairman
After mapping our priority issues, assessing the main risks in our sector and reviewing our practices, our Responsible IKO committees have defined 7 objectives under 3 headings:
These objectives are supported by all our employees. They guide our operating methods and feed our projects on a daily basis. In addition, IKO pursues sponsorship and partnerships by selecting causes that make sense, either because they are in line with our values, or because they broaden our horizons, both in the design of our projects and on a human level.

“The IKO team is committed to this with pleasure and conviction. We are integrating CSR into the very culture of the company in order to promote the notion of ‘responsible real estate development’ by creating value for the company, its clients, its stakeholders and for society.”
Fanny Caldès, CSR Manager

IKO has been awarded the Socially Responsible Company (SRC) label by the National Institute for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility (INDR), which distinguishes exemplary practices in environmental, social and governance matters.
